New Staff for your School?
No problem! You can quickly add staff members and grant them Educate access.
The first step is to create a new staff profile:
1. Within the School module, select the "Staffing" tab.
2. Click the "Add Staff" button, on the right hand side.
3. Add a minimum of the staff member's: first name, last name and email address. Save the staff demographics.
After the staff profile has been created, you will grant Educate access:
1. Within the School module, select the "Staffing" tab.
2. Select Security in the gutter menu.
3. Change drop-down menu from "Staff with Access" to "Staff with No Access" and hit Go.
4. Check the box(es) next to the staff you would like to grant access to Educate.
5. In the Bulk Actions menu, choose "Set Staff Access."
6. Select the security group the selected staff should be placed in from the drop-down menu, then hit "Continue."
7. You will see the email that will be sent to the selected staff. Feel free to edit this email to make sense for your school, but do not edit the merge fields (items within the brackets [ ], as these will auto populate).
8. Select to "Send" and the users will receive the email with their login credentials.
If the staff member is a teacher, be sure to assign them to course sections.
