Taking Attendance for a Section 

Teachers can take attendance by section in Educate Classroom. This allows you to fill out attendance information for each student, as well as information about the student's meals. 

Taking Daily Attendance 

You can take attendance for your section for a single day or for the entire week. This section provides instruction for taking attendance for a single day. 

1. Select Instruction on left hand menu.

2. Click Attendance. The Attendance page appears.

3. Select the desired section using the drop down menu at the top of the page.  

NOTE: The list of sections is arranged alphabetically.  

4. Take attendance for all students at once, or individually:

a. To set the attendance for the entire class at once, use the drop down menu located directly under Attendance.  

 NOTE: You can change an individual student's attendance after this step by using the drop down menus to the right of the student's name. This will not change any other student's attendance. 

b. To take the attendance of each student individually, use the drop down menus to select the Attendance option for each student enrolled.  

5. Optional: If your school uses the Point of Sale module, use the + to enter lunch and beverage information. 

6. When finished, click Save.  

7. The attendance is taken. 

Taking Weekly Attendance 

You can take attendance for your section for a single day or for the entire week. This section provides instruction for taking attendance for the week. When taking weekly attendance, you will not be able to enter lunch and beverage counts with attendance. 

1. Select Instruction on left hand menu.

2. Click Attendance. The Attendance page appears.

3. Select the desired section using the drop down menu at the top of the page.  

NOTE: The list of sections is arranged alphabetically.  

5. Select the Weekly tab.  The Weekly Attendance page appears.

  

6. Take attendance for all students at once, or individually:

a. To set the attendance for the entire class at once, use the drop down menu located directly under the day of the week.  

 NOTE: You can change an individual student's attendance after this step by using the drop down menus to the right of the student's name. This will not change any other student's attendance. 

b. To take the attendance of each student individually, use the drop down menus to select the Attendance option for each student enrolled.   

7. When finished, click Save.  

8. The attendance is taken.
