The system can provide warnings when a student's lunch account funds are low or negative, as well as defining the point when a student can no longer use their lunch account to purchase lunches or beverages due to their negative balance.

In POINT OF SALE click the Setup tab.
Under Point of Sale click Account Thresholds.
Click the Edit button and the settings become editable.
In the Account Balance Display section, indicate whether account balances should display in the POS tab.
To set up a warning when the balance of a student's lunch account becomes too low:
In the Low Balance Settings section, select Yes.
In the Low Credit Amount text box, type the amount at which the warning will be triggered.(e.g., if you want the warning to appear when there are only $5.00 left in the student's lunch account, type 5.00).
In the Low Credit Message text box, type the message that should appear when the amount is reached.
OPTIONAL: To check the spelling of your message, click the Spell check icon.
To set up a warning that will appear when a student's lunch account is negative,
In the Negative Balance Settings section, select Yes.
In the Negative Credit Messages text box type the message that should appear when the amount in the account is negative.
To set a limit on when students can no longer purchase items when their lunch account has reached a certain negative balance,
In the Negative Limit Settings section select Yes.
In the Negative Limit Amount section, type the amount below zero the account must be to stop the student from making purchases with the account.
In the Negative Limit Message text box, type the message that should appear when the limit is reached.
When finished, click Save.
