Ushering in a New Era: VenturEd Solutions

In case you missed it, Education Brands, formerly a part of Community Brands, is now VenturEd Solutions! Our new name and brand identity reflect the company’s continued evolution and refined strategy, focused exclusively on serving the K-12 education market. Welcome to the October newsletter. We know your Fall event season is very busy and we have been busy too updating the TADS Forms Module for boosted communication with families and students. We’ve also included some key strategies for problem-solving any previous year’s balance due from family accounts.  

 

Lastly, we know you’re already planning for Giving Tuesday this year and we will be sharing more resources in our November newsletter on how to generate giving success this year!

Important Feature Updates

New TADS Forms Module Now Available

With our new Forms Module, schools now have the ability to send ad hoc and one-off forms from right within TADS. These customizable forms allow schools to create forms throughout the school year to help better communicate and engage with families in ways that best suit your school’s needs all from within our interconnected solution. 

 

Start benefiting from the new module by collecting student information and sign ups throughout the entire school year, a great alternative to using the initial Admissions and Enrollment forms at the beginning of the year.  

 

This year-round benefit allows more flexibility for administrators and students to easily sign up for activities, clubs, sports, field trips, and much more as needed during the school year! A great tool to create separate questions that might be included in the Enrollment Supplemental Questions into separate forms to create a lighter initial touchpoint for families enrolling in your school.  

 

Key Features:

  • Ad Hoc Forms – Create and assign form requirements at any point during the year, independent of our Admissions and Enrollment intake forms. Uses for this type of form include Field Trip Sign-Up Forms, Teacher Recommendation Forms and more.
  • Collect “Anonymous” Forms – Allows forms to be filled out without TADS login. Forms could be submitted multiple times per user. These forms can be used for things such as Post-Event Surveys and Campus Surveys.
  • Assign Form Requirements – Forms can be assigned to be required for all or specific students to complete. Effortlessly set due dates, send reminders, and track completion of each student or family assigned to the forms with options such as media releases, medical releases, camp signups. 
  • Fully Customizable Forms – Craft forms to collect any information your school needs with full support for broad response formats, conditional questions, and more customizable questions. This type of form could be used for tutoring session signups based on the student's needs and much more.

We’re delighted to offer this new module to our schools and look forward to seeing how you creatively use these forms to advance your mission and engage with families!   

 

Please note this is an early iteration of the TADS Forms Module and we plan to add more features in the future. As always, we value and appreciate any feedback you'd like to share.

Portal Pointers

Tuition Management/Billing Best Practices 

As a new academic year begins, we recommend regularly monitoring your billing accounts, and if needed, taking proactive action with families who may need your attention. When families get regular email notifications it reduces late tuition payments and helps your school and families stay on track. Reports and email notifications are available to help increase awareness of certain accounts. View our support article Tuition Management/Billing Best Practices for more information. 

 

Prior Year Account Balances 

Do you have families with balances still owed from last year? To help families understand what is still outstanding in their previous year’s balance, encourage them to review their Billing Summary Report. The school or the family can download this report from the Reports tab within each billing account. Families can continue making payments in last year’s account or the school can transfer the balance forward to the most current billing account. This allows you to spread the older balances over the family’s future invoices. Here are the steps to Transfer Previous Year's Balance Forward.
