As an administrator, you can control when teachers can and cannot finalize grades for each term; this is referred to as the publishing window. The publishing window opens at 12 AM on the date set as "Open Publish Date" and is open until 11:59 PM on the "Close Publish Date." Each grading term has it's own publishing window, and these can be adjusted at any time by a school administrator. 

Modifying the Publishing Window:

  1. Within the School Module, select the Setup tab.
  2. Under Setup and General, select School Years.
  3. Click on the current school year
  4. Under step 2: Define Tracks, click on the notepad icon next to the track name
  5. Select Edit on blue bar of step 2: Terms and Grading Periods
  6. You can then change the Open or Close publishing dates for the desired term
  7. Save.
