IMPORTANT SYSTEM UPDATES

The TADS Development team has been working hard on new features that we are excited to share. Some recent releases have included:

  • Ability to add Household Notes! These provide a centralized location to store internal notes related to a family. They are automatically timestamped and will carry across each year the family attends your school, regardless of the module(s) the family is under. See our support article Household Notes for more information on using this new feature.

  • Ability to send incomplete application reminders! School administrators can now more easily access contact information for incomplete applications and trigger reminders for these families as needed. See our support article Incomplete Admissions Application Reminders for more information on using this new feature.

  • A list of the most recent system updates for Educate can be found in the release notes.

Extended TADS Family Support Hours

No need for parents to multi-task over their lunch breaks! With the Admissions/Enrollment, and Financial Aid seasons in full-swing for many school, we have extended the TADS Family Support hours through April 19th:

Fee Overrides

If your school collects a fee with your application or enrollment process, did you know that you can customize the amount that is due for specific students? We call this feature a Fee Override. Use it to change the amount normally due for a family before they submit their application or enrollment form. See our support article Override an Application or Enrollment Fee Amount for a Specific Student for more information.

Split Household Tuition Deposits

If your school collects a tuition deposit with your enrollment process, it is most likely connected to your tuition charge item(s). This ensures that each student is credited properly on their tuition agreement. For split households, this means the student will be credited for the same deposit amount on both agreements, which might not be your intention. We provide options in our support article Split Household Deposits to ensure the Deposit is reflected correctly for each Household.

Prorating Tuition/Fees and Customizing Payment Plans

When a family enrolls late at your school, it is important that you prepare their tuition agreement to reflect any customizations needed for their situation. In most cases, this can mean prorating their tuition/fees and editing their payment plan dates to start in the future. Your school should make these changes in the family’s agreement before sending it to them for completion. See our support article Edit a Tuition Agreement for more information on making these edits.

Withdrawn Students

In the unfortunate event a family withdraws from your school, it is important that you update their enrollment status and review their billing account in a timely manner. A family’s withdrawal does not automatically update their billing account, so it is vital that you review and, if needed, update it if the family no longer owes a balance to your school. See our support article Student has Withdrawn for more information on this process.
