Updating demographics in bulk is available via the Mass Update feature for students, staff, households, and/or contacts by Administrators.

1. Starting in the School Module, select the Setup tab.

2. Under Setup select Mass Update.

3. On the Mass Update page, you will have the option to select from the following entity types: 

  • Staff
  • Students
  • Households
  • Contacts

4. After selecting one of the entities, select Download Template.

5. Your browser will automatically download the CSV import file. After this is successfully downloaded, open the Excel document.

6. The CSV file will have several columns, depending on the entity selected in step 4, but all entities will have the same first 2 columns: ID and Name.

7. Add the demographic information to the corresponding column that needs to be updated. While updating the information, do not modify, add, remove or move any of the columns on the import spreadsheet, especially columns A and B.

8. Save the Excel document. 

9. On the Mass Update page, upload the saved CSV file by selecting the Choose File under Step 2: Upload the CSV.

10. Select Upload.

 

 

11. Demographics have been updated.
