How do I change the grade of a student in Educate after the school year has already begun?

NOTE: If you want the student to receive the new grade's report card, you will want to make sure the teacher has finalized all grades and comments for that student before removing the student from the course section.

  1. Navigate to the School module.
  2. Go to the Students tab, locate the student and click on his/her name.
  3. In the left column, under Enrollment click on History.
  4. Locate the internal enrollment record desired.
  5. Click to edit the record.
  6. Set the new Grade and Class.
  7. Save your modifications.
  8. Next, click on Courses in the left menu for the student.
    1. If you want to save the grades that have already been entered for this student, select all sections and use the bulk actions to drop the courses.
    2. If you do NOT want to keep records from these course sections for this student, you can select the option in the bulk actions menu to dis-enroll the student from the courses.
  9. To enroll the student in the correct grade's courses,
    1. Click on the Courses Available tab.
    2. Select the course sections to enroll the student in.
    3. Use the bulk actions menu to Enroll Student.
